DAY FIVE : the fallen at fall's creek .

before i begin with the continuation of the holiday recap , i would like to announce that i've finally taken my absolutely last ( KEEP MY FINGERS , TOES AND ALL CROSS-ABLE APPENDAGES CROSSED ) exam paper and am about to say goodbye to the wonderful city of melbourne . she's treated me well , but alas , it's time to return home !

anyway , onward bound . the morning before the drive up to fall's creek , we brought my brother and dad to green's for their muffins .

no rest for the weary

it was snowing so hard when we got up and all the runs were closed . SO I DIDN'T GET TO SKI AT ALL . we sat down at the cafe , drank our lukewarm hot chocolate and ate our overpriced paninis . later we rolled around in the snow until our feet were frozen then we drove back down to thaw beside our fireplace .

we stayed at the most beautiful place EVER . so awesome was it that the pictures we took don't even capture the awesome-ness of the place . if you're planning a trip up to falls creek this winter , my advice is don't stay at fall's creek itself ( because it's ridiculously overpriced ) . instead grab yourself one of the eco lodges at dreamers mountain village. it's about half an hour from falls creek , a little quiter and oh so worth it . . don't say i didn't tell you . :)
