i'm a little bit late but this post goes out to my mom , who in her heyday , was quite the sexpot ( a term my aunt enjoyed dropping whenever i was around ; she also loved to make me sparkly , spandexy tops and mini skirts ) . i'm still mildly upset that she never bothered to keep any of her old clothes for me . i probably wouldn't be able to fit into them since her waist was something ridiculous like a solid twenty-two inches . speaking of waists , sam and i brought rah to camberwell and we saw the most amazing 80s pants that were a deep sparkly jade and were slightly flared at the hips and tight at the calves . the waist , was a whole other story . i couldn't even put it around my neck !

lady at the store : this really is gorgeous ain't it love . . 80's fashion is back , you know .
me : i know , but unfortunately 80's waists aren't .

i was cruising project muff + stit awhile back because sarah ( melbourne / linguistics / unimelb sarah ) mentioned that they were these two girls that went to trinity and were really into fashion . so they also have a blog that chronicles their fashion exploits as well as an online store . it's my virgin purchase from the girls but i fell in love with the skirt immediately after chancing upon it on the website . it was a tad pricey but my excuse was that this was purchased BEFORE the shopping ban !

this cropped top i picked up at savers for a mere $4 ! it's a weird minty green and i wasn't sure if i pulled it off , but what do you think ?
