since he isn't replying msn , text or call , i guess he's either angry/asleep/stupid ( the way boys are stupid ) . i added the last one to make myself feel better . here's what i've been up to :

truth be told , i hate valentine's day . it's just another day that creates undue pressure to impress and surprise . no matter how much i tell myself to expect nothing ( because i've learnt that surprises are over-rated , can result in much unpleasantness and can turn into a highly awkward situation ) , whenever i do get nothing or am not surprised , i inevitably still end up disappointed .

i don't really enjoy fancy dinners because i don't know how to appreciate something that is from an animal or would have turned into an animal if we didn't harvest them as young and sell them for ridiculous amounts of mony just for human consumption . i don't enjoy receiving flowers because they just die on you despite your best attempts at keeping them alive in jars of water . i don't know the proper etiquette on receiving jewellery because i pretty much have only 3 pieces that i really wear and treasure .

i really don't think i was cut out for valentine's day .

as far as i can remember , my best valentine's day memories involved no boys , just a couple of smashing girlfriends looking their very best - things really were so much simpler then . this year it'll be off to a rather weird start - he's got class and a work meeting which will take up pretty much half the day ; the girls all have their respective other halves . since i still haven't succeeded in programming the body to wake up after nine , looks like i'll be spending the first half of valentine's day alone and at home watching ellen and for better or for worse ( i really can't get enough ) .

then again , i've got a boy who loves me and treats me like royalty EVERYDAY ( well , the days when i'm not ranting on the blog anyway ) so i'm pretty sure that i can deal without him for the first half of the day ; girls who love their boys almost as much as i do so i think i can forgive them for wanting to show a little love to their significant others .

besides , there's no way in hell this valentine's day can be as bad as last year's .











for that alone i am ecstatic beyond belief : )
